Dubai is a part of United Arab Emirates. Among the seven Emirates the Dubai is one. It Is the Second Largest Federation after Abu Dhabi. But in Population Dubai is the first among the Emirates. It is also the main city of United Arab Emirates. From 1833 Dubai has been ruled by The Al Maktoum Dynasty. Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum the Vice-President of the federation of the United Arab Emirates and also the ruler of Dubai. The Dubai is also known as “DBAI CITY” and “DUBAYY”

Dubai is a city of excitement and attraction because it has some unique features of innovative real estate projects like The Al Bruj Arab world’s tallest seven star hotel, Dubai Creek, Emirates Towers, Dubai ski and World’s tallest Building “Burj Dubai” is under construction and will complete in September 2009. The shopping festivals, sports events, Dubai film Festivals, Museums are attracted world wide attention. This all features establishing Dubai as the world’s leading business hub.

The History

According Archeological discoveries about four thousand (4000) years ago some small fishing groups were lived at the coast of the Arabian Gulf, Today this place is known as Dubai. Gaspero Balbi the Venetian pearl merchant visited this area in 1580 and mentioned Dubai (Dibei) for its pearling industry. The record said that the Dubai was depended upon Abu Dhabi till 1833. On 8th January 1820, the sheikh of Dubai and other sheikhs sponsored “General Treaty of Peace” In 1833, the Al Maktoum dynasty and descendants of the House of Al-Falasi of the Bani tribe left the settlement of Abu Dubai and tool over the Dubai without resistance from the Abu Fasala clan. After that The Dubai is independent Emirate. The “Exclusive Agreement” of 1892 Dubai came under protected by the United Kingdom from any attacks of Ottoman Empire.The emir of Dubai was keen to attract foreign traders and lowered trade tax brackets. Traders went away from Sharjah and Bandar Lengeh, which were the region's main trade hubs at the time.

The ruler H H Sheikh saeed Bin Maktom from 1912 to 1958 and after that his son, H H Sheikh Rashid Bin Saeed al- Maktoum had changed Dubai’s face. They developed Dubai’s trade and commercially developments. The successful early development was in large parts due to the foresight of Dubai’s rulers. After the death of Sheikh Saeed Bin Maktom in 1958, Sheikh Rashid has played leading role in changing the state. Shaikhc Rashid proved himself as a successful ruler because in his time he had changed Dubai. Before his time Dubai known as an old-world town and undeveloped, But after his Dubai came to known as a Modern state which has superb communication, industrial and well developed infrastructures. He had started many big projects like World Trade Center, Jebel Ali Free Zone and Dubai international Airport. He Ruled Dubai for over 30 years.

Geography

Dubai is ideally located on the Persian Gulf coast of the UAE (United Arab Emirates). Dubai Surrounded by three sides, at south east side there so The Sultanate of Oman, at south side there is Abu Dhabi, Sharjah in the north east side and the rest side is covered by the sea. The Whole Dubai city covers an area of about 4,114 km².

The sandy desert highlighted Dubai’s landscapes the reason of being that is Dubai is joined with Arabian Desert. The south side of Dubai is covered by the sea. At the other place there is sand which contained crushed shell and coral, while looked wise is seems white and clean. The Persian Gulf Waters are not very deep so many Experts also predict that the possibility of a tsunami in the region is very less.

Economy

The Economy of Dubai has strong support of its oil industry. The record said that Dubai’s oil industries produce approximately 2, 40,000 barrels per day. Second support of Dubai’s Economy is its Real Estate, Constructions, trades and finance services. Iran, India and Saudi Arabia are the top re-exporting countries of Dubai’s Re Exporting business. The largest man made port Jebel Ali was constructed in 1970. It has obtained eighth rank globally in container traffic. In March 2000 the Financial Market of Dubai was established. It is also known as DFM. The Market Capitalization of Dubai Financial Market is about 87 Billion US$. Dubai has many real estate projects which are very huge and unique in whole world. The Burj Dubai project world’s tallest building will complete in September 2009.The Emirates Towers and The Palm Island. World’s tallest and most expensive seven star Hotel Burj Al Arab.
